Drove up to the campsite after doing the Climachx trail to meet up with some of the other people from the mountain biking club. After pitching the tent (nice and quick with a pop up tent) we got the bikes out and rode the short distance down to the Coed y Brenin visitor centre.
We decided to be whimps and just do the shortest trail the Temtiwr' (I'd already ridden today that was my excuse not sure about the others)
I'd never ridden at Coed before so I wasn't sure what to expect I'd heard it was quite rocky and technical.
It sure was that! took a while to get myself dialed in but once I got used to the rock gardens and steps it was great fun! Some of the bits looked quite scary at first look.
We done the first lap in just under 50 mins not really riding that fast but as we were all a similar speed we didn't have any waiting around.
A few more people from the club had arrived so we had another lap of the Temtiwr trail, we talked them out of doing the MBR trail as a couple of them had never ridden anywhere other than Woburn rocks were going to be something new to them.
Im not sure of the time it took todo the second lap but it was a bit of a baptisim by fire for a few people but after a bit of coaching they started to get to grips with the rocks (Im just glad it wasn't wet!) then we all would of been in trouble!
After a good introduction to Coed y Brenin it was the ride back (uphill) to the campsite, shower, change of clothes and then to the pub!
